We love what we do. For generations.
MODERN FAMILY TRADITION
The Thelen family has been engaged in carpentry since 1726. After almost 300 years, it is the Thelen sons and their families whose names still stand for inventiveness and perfection.
At a total of five locations, each with different focuses, we are engaged in personalized, sophisticated interior design of living and working spaces as well as for high-quality kitchens – and prove our ability to clients again and again.
Aydin Yildrim of Drifte Wohnform and the Thelen family with Manfred, Werner, Anton, Sebastian, and Fabian Thelen collectively guide our family business into the future.
With our in-house service and logistics center, we ensure quick and reliable processing, delivery, and fitting.
Around 150 qualified and energetic people are part of the Thelen team: our advisers accompany our clients from the initial idea all the way to the personalized implementation. Our high-grade furniture and expansions are built to specification in our own carpentry workshop. And our specialists, fitters, craftsmen, drivers and service personnel ensure a smooth process at every step of the way.
Since 1998, we have teamed up with Drifte Wohnform to expand and continually grow our offerings for high-grade living. CEO Aydin Yildrim is partnered with the Thelen family and contributes to our current business.
The first mention of us in the public record can be traced back to the year 1726.
The Thelen family
Anton Thelen entered the family business as an apprentice in 1953 and has led operations since 1966. To this day, the senior partner is active in the family business and will be celebrating his 65th company anniversary in 2018.
In 1988, after finishing their education, the sons Werner and Manfred Thelen returned to the family business as, respectively, a carpenter and furniture designer, and as sales director. Both are part of management.
Another part of management is the grandson and nephew Sebastian Thelen, who leads the Düsseldorf location as a furniture specialist. And the next generation is already involved with Fabian and Maximillian Thelen, the sons of Werner Thelen.
